Peer-to-Peer

This year, ArchiPAC launched a peer-to-peer fundraising network to increase the involvement and information among AIA members about ArchiPAC. Peer-to-peer fundraising is not only the best way to get new interest in ArchiPAC, but it is also an easier way to spread knowledge about AIA issues and key legislation.
How can you get involved?
It’s easy. At the AIA National Convention, make a contribution to ArchiPAC for the ArchiPAC Alumni Challenge. This challenges pits architect alumni from different architecture schools against each other. The winning schools will get a scholarship donation made from the AIA. What can you do? Email your colleagues, friends, and classmates, and tell them when you will be at the ArchiPAC booth (outside of the AIA bookstore at the Convention Center) and ask them to stop by and do their part while you are there. Hopefully, they will bring someone with them, and so on and so forth.
Why should I be part of the peer-to-peer network?
The answer is twofold. First, getting more involvement in the PAC helps all architects, including you, by increasing the number of pro-architecture, pro-small business, and pro-livability candidates running for federal office. Second, it is not only a great way to give back, but also a great experience. At future AIA events, we will be holding special events for our fundraising network, and we will send you special “DC insider” newsletters and an occasional thank you gift. You can’t lose!
