About ArchiPAC

ArchiPAC is the bipartisan political action committee of the American Institute of Architects. Founded in 1980, ArchiPAC serves as the single voice for the architecture profession on the national political scene. Funded by AIA members' voluntary contributions, ArchiPAC is the tool that architects use to voice the AIA's positions to our nationally elected leaders on issues affecting the built environment, our profession, our communities, and our practices.
A strong PAC is critical in Washington, providing us with an opportunity to ensure that the candidates for Congress that support our initiatives and issues get elected. Decisions affecting our profession will be made whether we are part of the conversation or not, so it is critical that we have a seat at the table to represent our membership, our issues, and our concerns. Having a strong, healthy PAC gives us the opportunity to be part of that conversation.
In the 2007 to 2008 election cycle, ArchiPAC contributed over $257,000 to candidates and political parties. ArchiPAC hopes to raise even more money in 2009-2010 to help candidates supporting the best policies for our communities and our profession.
